This notice explains what Pangalom Ltd does with personal data in connection with this website. Work carried out under a separate agreement is governed by that agreement.
Who is responsible
Pangalom Ltd is the data controller. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17365335, at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. For anything in this notice, write to hello@pangalom.com.
What this site collects
Nothing that identifies you. There is no contact form, no account, no comment section and no third-party embed. The site sets no cookies and uses no browser storage, which is why you were not asked to accept any. There is no analytics of any kind. Fonts and images are served from this domain, so no request leaves for another company while you read this page.
If that changes, this page changes first.
If you email us
The address on this site is an ordinary mail link. When you write to us we hold your address, your name if you give it, and whatever you put in the message.
We use it to answer you and to keep a record of the correspondence. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and in knowing what was said. Where an enquiry moves towards an agreement, we also rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not add you to a mailing list. We do not sell or share your details. We do not run your message through an enrichment, lead-scoring or profiling service.
If you write to us about a job
The careers page invites you to send us something you have built. We hold what you send in order to consider it and to reply. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in recruiting. Nothing about you is decided by automated screening or scoring.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: two years from our last exchange with you.
- Correspondence about work we go on to do: for the life of the agreement and six years after it ends, which is both the period in which a claim could still be brought and the period our accounting records have to cover.
- Approaches about jobs: one year, unless you ask us to keep yours longer.
Ask us to delete something sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Who else sees it
Our email runs on Google Workspace, so Google processes messages on our behalf under its data processing terms. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which records requests in order to serve the site and to absorb attacks against it. Those records include your IP address, the page requested and your browser's user agent, and they are used for delivery and security, not for advertising or profiling. Both companies act as our processors and neither may use your data for its own purposes.
Nobody else receives it. We share personal data with no other third party unless the law requires it.
Where it goes
Google and Cloudflare are United States companies running global infrastructure, so your data may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Those transfers rely on the safeguards in each provider's data processing terms, which include the UK Addendum to the standard contractual clauses. Ask us and we will tell you which safeguard applies to what.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct anything wrong or incomplete
- delete it
- restrict what we do with it while a question about it is resolved
- send it to you, or on to someone else, in a portable form, where that right applies
You can also object to our using your data on the basis of legitimate interests. If you object we stop, unless we can show compelling grounds that override your rights. None of this costs anything, and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
Tell us first if you can, at hello@pangalom.com. We will acknowledge a complaint about how we handle your data within 30 days and tell you what we are doing about it.
You do not have to come to us first, and doing so does not affect your other rights. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or on 0303 123 1113.
